Position Summary Talarico for Texas seeks an Advance Manager.
The Advance Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of campaign event logistics and advance operations.
This role is responsible for leading advance staff and volunteers, managing venue preparation, coordinating with campaign departments and external partners, and ensuring every event is fully operational before candidate arrival.
The Advance Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering professional, organized, and successful campaign events in fast-paced environments.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and execute all advance operations for campaign events statewide Travel ahead of the candidate to prepare event locations and oversee on-site logisticsDevelop detailed event timelines, run-of-shows, briefing materials, and site plansCoordinate with local organizers, elected officials, community leaders, vendors, and venue staffOversee setup and breakdown of campaign events, including staging, signage, audio/visual needs, and crowd flowCoordinate with communications and press team to ensure media readiness onsiteServe as the primary on-site logistics lead during campaign events and appearancesIdentify and troubleshoot operational issues quickly in high-pressure environmentsEnsure campaign branding, security protocols, and event standards are consistently maintainedRequirementsQualifications2–5+ years in political campaigns, government, public affairs, or event operationsFamiliarity with ASANA preferred but not requiredDemonstrated experience coordinating events, logistics, or candidate travelExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience supervising interns, volunteers, or junior staffPhysical & Travel RequirementsAbility to lift and move campaign materials and event equipment up to 30–50 poundsFrequent in-state travel and occasional overnight travel requiredAbility to stand for extended periods during campaign events and advance workBenefitsReports to: Events DirectorLocation: Austin, Texas (statewide travel required)Salary: $6,000-$7,000 per monthBenefits: Health care, paid time off, sick leaveTalarico for Texas is an equal opportunity employer.
