This role offers hands-on training in regulatory compliance, documentation, and quality assurance practices within the food industry.
You'll work closely with experienced team members while supporting our quality programs and customer service efforts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDocumentation & Customer SupportPrepare certificates of analysis (COAs), specification sheets, and product documentation under supervisionRespond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications and quality mattersMaintain organized records of ingredient and packaging specificationsAssist with preparing responses to customer complaints and requestsQuality & Compliance SupportLearn and support company compliance with food safety regulations (CGMP, SQF, HACCP, FDA)Assist with quality testing as directed by R&D, sales, or customersHelp conduct hazard analyses for products, ingredients, and packagingSupport preparation for customer and regulatory audits (CDPH, SQF, FDA)Contribute to monthly quality reportsLearning & DevelopmentParticipate in ongoing training on food safety regulations and quality systemsStay informed about current food industry regulations and standardsDevelop proficiency in quality documentation and testing proceduresBuild knowledge of company products and manufacturing processesTeam CollaborationWork closely with QC team on daily quality activitiesSupport smooth product launches by coordinating with R&D teamMaintain clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform other duties as assigned to support team goalsQUALIFICATIONSEducation (one of the following):Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (recent graduates welcome), OR1-2 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in food manufacturing, ORWillingness to complete the following certifications within first 6 months of employment:GMP certificate (online training provided)Better Process Control SchoolHACCP certificationCDPH-recommended GMP trainingWhat We're Looking For:Strong attention to detail and desire to learnGood organizational and time management skillsTeam player with positive attitudeComfortable asking questions and seeking guidanceProfessional communication styleReliable and punctualInterest in food safety and quality systemsWHAT WE OFFERComprehensive training program with experienced mentorsOpportunity to gain certifications in food safety and qualityHands-on experience with regulatory complianceCareer growth potential within quality assuranceRequirementsRequired
